Put simply, the Simple Bowman is your first real archer. It is an upgrade of the Slinger and can be upgraded to the Composite Bow. It is available in the Copper and Bronze Ages.
Strengths[]
Due to their pierce armor and attack bonus, they are quite good against pierce units like the Spearman and the Phalanx.
Weaknesses[]
Will get easily killed if engaged in combat against Macemen and Short Swords.
Unit Strategy[]
The simple bowman is a ranged unit, and should be placed in the back of an attack formation for maximum effectiveness.
