The Pharos Lighthouse is a Wonder that reveals the water around it in a radius of 70 tiles, while leaving the Fog of War on terrain. It becomes available once the Copper Age is reached, just like most other wonders. Very useful for keeping an eye for naval attack or Aircraft in the distance and possibly building up a counter-attack force.
In The Art of Conquest, the Pharos Lighthouse is replaced by the Orbital Space Station once you reach the Space Age.
