Novaya Russia is the second scenario of the Russian Campaign in Empire Earth.

Novaya Russia: 2035
It took many years, but the dual humiliations of a lost election and failed coup had finally been avenged. Deep inside the Kremlin, as Grigor Stoyanovich settled into his new residence, vodka flowed freely in celebration of the victory. But maps and battle plans were already being prepared for the next phase of expansion. Grigor wanted more territory, and he knew just from where to take it.
In the years of consolidation that followed the capture of Moscow, a problem had surfaced. Grigor's propaganda machine could not gloss over the violence committed by his Black Robes. Commoners and dissidents were fleeing Novaya Russia in droves and spreading tales of "atrocities" and "terror". Ukraine, sensing the danger, had already begun forging alliances with the major powers of Europe. And those powers, mindful of the lessons of the previous century, were not going to ignore the perceived threat growing from the East. The Ukraine had to be brought under Novaya Russia's banner, and Grigor confidently predicted his former Ally would be easy prey.
But the European powers were another matter. If they were to be neutralized, he had to move swiftly and decisively against them... or risk losing all he had accomplished.
Objectives[]
- Grigor must begin his neutralization of Europe by destroying 2 of the 3 Capitols at Kiev, Oslo, and Copenhagen.
- The last of the rebels in Novaya Russia have taken control of Kuybyshev. In order to totally crush this rebellion, all of their buildings must be destroyed.
- Grigor must survive.
- Additional facilities await at St. Petersburg and Arkhangelsk. You will receive a population increase to make use of them.
- Cyber Factories and Laboratories can now be built.
Hints[]
- The British will be sending Transports over from Scotland. If they reach the mainland, they will unload troops that will head straight for Moscow. The only way to stop this is to destroy all the Docks in Great Britain.
- It would be easier to deal with the rebels first, since they are more likely to attack you directly.
- Building an Espionage Center will make it easier to spot where the rebels are hiding.
- Stone mines only yield 1,500 stone, instead of the usual 300,000. Be sure to use your stone resources wisely.
History[]
Grigor turned his popular support and early victories over government forces into a full-fledged revolution. By the summer of 2023, Moscow had fallen and Grigor had taken up residence in the Kremlin. Under the banner of his distorted Coptic Cross, Grigor solidified his hold on power in the newly established nation of Novaya Russia. He proved to have a shrewd political mind and began pulling his country out of the past and into the 21st Century. In just a decade, Novaya Russia's economy was strong and her level of technology was again approaching that of the West.
But Grigor's methods for achieving this success did not sit well with the international community. Novaya Russia had refused to pay old Russia's outstanding debts. and there was strong but inconclusive evidence that Novaya Russia's growing wealth was coming at least in part from illegal trade in drugs, weapons,and other restricted goods. Many nations refused even to recognize the new country or Grigor's authority. And there were still those within Novaya Russia who rebelled against the man that they saw as a dictator.
It was clear to The Crocodile from early on that if people were not going to accept his sovereingty, they would at least have to respect his power. So he had set about organizing an elite paramilitary force that would be equipped to handle virtually any type of combat situation. He called his new force the "Black Robes."
The Black Robes became both the army and the police force of Novaya Russsia, defending the borders and helping maintain order. they were well armed, well trained, and as ruthless as The Crocodile himself. Finally, as their numbers swelled with volunteers and recuits, Grigor was able to move ahead to the next phase of his master plan: the reconquest of Eastern Europe.
Strategy[]
Attention: Do not read this if you wish to solve the scenario on your own.
Immediately train 3 Paladin Cannons, 15 Black Robes, 4 Gladiator Tanks and 2 Skywatcher AAs. As soon as the third cannon is built, take all your available troops as well as Grigor and the Black Robe Officer and head southeast to the rebel base. Leave whatever is still being trained behind to protect the city. At the rebel base, be sure to position your Skywatchers next to the airport to take care of enemy aircraft while the rest of your army takes on the rebels. Once the base has been completely destroyed, bring your troops back home.
At the same time, while all this is going on, build: a Tower and a Settlement each next to the nearby gold and iron mines, an Airport and at least 3 AA Missile Towers on the northwest side of the city (this is where alot of bombers are sure to hit). As soon as the airport is built, build 5 B-122 Wyvern Bombers. Put 6 Citizens on the iron mine and upgrade the nearby settlement into a Town Center. Put 3 Citizens each on the gold mine and forage patch. Once the first bomber is built, bring it out and upgrade its attack, health and speed stats. Building and upgrading the bombers may take some time as you'll have to wait for resources to come in. Once the fourth bomber is built, send the bombers to Ukraine and destroy their Capitol.
As soon as the Capitol is destroyed, send five Citizens, Grigor, the Black Robe Officer, an Missile Tower and some Black Robes on the northwest road where they'll come upon St. Petersburg. Immediately build an airport there (facing the northwest) and two Towers on the landbridge to the north. Bring your bombers from the first airport into the second, and then from there send them on to attack Copenhagen (the Northern Allies Capitol). Be wary of fighter planes in the area. Once the building is destroyed you will have won the scenario.
Storyline[]
Near the Capitol building in Moscow...
Grigor: One enemy falls, then several more rise to take its place! This constant struggle is taking its toll on me. Yet I must continue the fight agaisnt those who would keep Novaya Russia from attaining its rightful place in the World.
Black Robe Officer: General, I suggest that we construct some "inspirational" buildings to aid in our fight. They could prove advantageous.
The fighting begins. When the rebels' Capitol falls...
Grigor: The rebellion has at last been crushed. Now I can fully focus my attention on the West.
The fighting continues. If St. Petersburg is discovered...
Grigor: This is St. Petersburg... from here, we have direct access to the waters of our Western enemies. But it is so close to them that it may be difficult to defend.
If Arkhangelsk is discovered...
Grigor: Here is Arkhangelsk... from here we can build warships in relative safety. although they will have to travel a good distance to reach our enemies to the West.
When the first Allied Capitol is destroyed, the scene shifts to the falling building, and then moves on to a burning European district. Two Black Robes and an Officer come up to meet a hooded man on a hovering platform.
Black Robe Officer: Who is this... freak?
Black Robe: He's not one of us and that's all we need to know! Shoot him!
Alexi Septimus: Wait! I am a scientist with much technical knowledge... your General will want to see me.
Black Robe Officer: Well... that hover platform is certainly an impressive piece of technology. Very well, we will inform Grigor. But be warned: he doesn't take kindly to those who waste his time!
Grigor arrives at the scene...
Grigor: This had better be good... I am urgently needed at the front.
Alexi Septimus: General Stoyanovich, I am Dr. Alexi Septimus... perhaps you are familiar with my work in Robotics and machine intelligence?
Grigor: Nyet.
Alexi Septimus: Well, rest assured, my reputation is well earned. The Western powers, fearing your growing strength, would not let me leave my weapons-research post in Poland. But I managed to elude them and return to my Russian homeland. I am here to offer you my services, as well as the culmination of my research.
Grigor: I don't know that I can trust you, Doctor, but I will consider your offer - Novaya Russia will soon have need of advanced weapons. But be forewarned: if you are lying to me, your death will be most painful. As for this... "culmination", I look forward to seeing what you have developed.
Alexi Septimus: Da, General. As a token of my sincere intentions, I will present to you my greatest achievement: the Rostov Model JK-1. I think you will find him quite useful.
Grigor returns to his former position, and a large Cyber appears next to him.
Grigor: So, you are Alexi's masterpiece, eh? Once I am convinced of your loyalties, I just might make you my own personal bodyguard... how does that sound?
Rostov Model JK-1: I am programmed to serve.
When the second Allied Capitol is destroyed...'
Grigor: With the rebellion crushed and our Western borders secure, I feel I can finally rest my weary bones for a time. But Novaya Russia has not reached her zenith yet!
