Uniting the Tribes

Uniting the Tribes: Rescue the Princess The (specific tribe), a local tribe, has requested your help to rescue one of their princesses. A local group of bandits has kidnapped her and demanded a hefty ransom. The bandits are believed to be hiding somewhere out in the province.

Locate the Tribal Princess and escort her back to the city centre of the (specific tribe).

A City in the Desert: Expanding the Empire Build a Bazaar. After generations of wandering, our fledgeling empire isfinally ready to expand our influence across the globe. But first, we must solidify a foothold from which we can strike at our enemies. This province suits our needs, and our City Center serve as the basis of our civilization. But to prepare for the future, we must construct a Bazaar to begin funding our economy. Success: +300 Wealth
A City in the Desert: Scout the Province Explore the province. We must send out our eyes and ears to gather information on the lands surrounding our new home. We must explore quickly so we will not be taken by surprise by any unfriendly neighbours. Success: +1000 Raw materials
A City in the Desert: Nomad Raiders Defeat the Raiders. While exploring, our scouts came back with reports of nomadic raiders sweeping through the province, attacking all targets of opportunity. We should be wary and catch and kill these marauders as soon as we are able. Success: +1500 Raw Materials
A City in the Desert: Build and Defend Trade Routes Defend your markets against enemy attacks. Our efforts to pacify the countryside have encouraged our growing merchant class to develop trade routes. We must ensure their safety; there are many brigands about who would seek to steal from those more prosperous. Success: +1500 Wealth
A City in the Desert: Defend the settlement Defend your City Centers against enemy attacks. Our settlement has grown and prospered and become the envy of wandering tribes of Nomads Raiders who roam the wastes, searching for rich lands like ours to plunder and claim as their own. Now, they come in waves to take from us what we have labored to build. Defeat these rabble so this province will be free of their deprivations once and for all! Success:
  • +6 Commerce, +6 Imperial
  • The Natives will swear fealty to you

Destroy Religious Cult[]

A wandering group of disciples from a rapidly growing religious sect are wandering through this province. Their teachings are attracting many converts and distracting the citizenry from their work. This group must be destroyed swiftly before their proselytizing causes further unrest.

  • Destroy the Cultists (eliminate their faction)
  • Success: +1000 Raw Materials
  • The Natives will swear fealty to you

Sell food to Nomads[]

Nomadic tribes continue to move through our lands and use our forests and herds with no regard for our sovereignty. They claim they have little choice because their people are starving. Perhaps if we can provision them with food, perhaps they will swear fealty to us.

  • Conceded to the Nomads' periodic demands for tribute.
  • Success: Bonus Units
  • The Natives will swear fealty to you.
  • Failure: The Natives will attack!

In this mission, the Nomads (usually a Middle Eastern faction) will continue to demand Raw Materials every few moments, setting a timer to pester the player. Failure to send the Raw Materials to the Nomads as tribute will cause them to immediately declare war on the player.

Shelter Monks[]

Tribute three City Centres/Ministries to the Wandering Monks so they will settle down, and help you instead of hinder you.

  • Success: Unsworn local tribes will swear fealty to you
  • +3 Imperial
