Description[]
The Mining Unit is a unit exclusive to Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest and features in the Asian Campaign. It is also available in the Scenario Editor (if enabled from the Tech Tree list). It is a brown spatial jeep. A slightly bigger version named "Advanced Mining Unit" exists, but has the same statistics as the regular. If both Mining Unit and Advanced Mining Unit are enabled in the Scenario Editor, the Tank Factory will produce the Advanced Mining Unit.
During the Asian Campaign, a unique Advanced Mining Unit is available in the fifth scenario Ghost Ship Insurrection and has to be brought to the Huo Xing Cheng base in order to produce Mining Units, even before the Space Age. If the Advanced Mining Unit is destroyed before that, it will not be possible to produce Mining Units in this scenario.
Neither the Mining Unit and the Advanced Mining Unit displays the color of its team, requiring the player to hover the cursor over it to know which team it's in.
Strengths[]
The Mining Unit is effective against infantry, but is less powerful than regular HE tanks such as the Centurion Tank. This unit also has greater range and speed than other tanks.
Weaknesses[]
Its lesser health, armor, and attack points allows Cyber units to beat them easily. It also can be beaten by the Paladin Cannon.
