The Koryo Hwarang is a Korean warrior in Empires: Dawn of the Modern World who excels against other melee units, but is weak to ranged units. Its special ability is that it kills enemies in one blow if that enemy is below 50% health.
Like other Korean infantry, it can also use Martial Arts to temporarily increase its speed and rate of attack, which will afterwards decrease in a short recovery period (100 power, hotkey M).
The Hwarang were young men of the aristocracy, well educated and trained in martial arts to become elite warrior.[1]
