The Halberdier is the last type of pierce infantry and its only remaining use is to counter the mighty Cuirassiers of the Imperial Age. Due to its vulnerability to gun units, their usefulness is limited. As the last two cavalry types become extinct after the Industrial Age, the Halberdier becomes obsolete as well.
