The German Infantry was a Campaign-only unit that appears in the German Campaign. It was the same as the Marine - it is only different in graphic appearance and sound files. Also, the German Infantry can be trained in both World War I and World War II.
Due to this, the German Infantry and Machine Gunners are actually very powerful in the campaign till WWI since they are essentially World War II units.
