Frigates are warships in Empire Earth. They're no match for the mighty Battleships, but are strong against Galleys, the Battleship counters. Frigates initially appear in the game from the Copper Age and are present to the late Nano Age. As Galleys disappear in the Atomic Ages, the purpose of the Frigates change as well. While still being defeated by Battleships, they become a decent tool for destroying Submarines, which Battleships are helpless against.
