Fealty Mode is a skirmish game mode introduced in Empire Earth II: The Art of Supremacy. It has all the features and functions of the normal diplomacy mode, but it also includes the option to either demand fealty from other players, or offer it to them.
A player that swears fealty to another player will become a vassal, and the player that has subjugated them will become their liege lord. Vassal players have no control over their own diplomatic alignments, and they will always exactly match those of their liege lord. Liege lords have control over all the military units of their vassal(s). The liege lord can execute a vassal at any time, thereby eliminating them from the game. The fealty status is permanent and cannot be reversed. If a liege lord is eliminated from the game, then all the vassals they have are also eliminated.
If a player defies a demand of fealty from another player, then the defiant player will receive a small but permanent damage bonus against the units and buildings of the player that demanded their fealty.
