Description[]
The Engineer is an American support infantry unit in Empires: Dawn of the Modern World. It has the following abilities:
- Repair: repairs a damaged vehicle (hotkey R).
- Lay Mine Field: Mines explode when enemies pass over them (25 Gold
), hotkey M). - Capture Building: Capture a Building for your own use (except Town Centers or Towers) (100 power, hotkey V).
In addition, it can detect stealthy units.
The Corps of Engineers was formed in 1802. In World War I, the first US troops in Europe were engineers. They helped construct rail lines, roads, bridges and other structure.[1]

- Can repair mechanical ground units, capture enemy buildings, lay mine fields, and detect stealthy units.
Weaknesses[]
- Cannot attack.
