The Composite Bow is the Dark Age evolution of the Simple Bowman. A bow made from composite material and better armour make it a formidable weapon against Phalanxes. They are however very vulnerable to Shock Units. Like most archery units they should always be accompanied by support troops, since they are useless in melee fights and fall easily if not protected.
