Description[]
The Cardinal is a Frankish religious leader who supports other units. In addition to being able to see stealthy units, the Cardinal has two powers:
- Earthquake - heavily damages buildings (200 power, hotkey E).
- Plague - infects enemies with a plague that slowly kills them and can spread to others (100 power, hotkey P).
Perhaps the best known French Cardinal is Cardinal Richelieu, who became France's Prime Minister under King Louis XIII in 1624. He is generally credited with helping to re-establish France as a strong European power in the 17th Century.[1]
