Description[]
The Ballista is a siege weapon in Empire Earth. A tool from ancient times, this weapon is built to damage massed infantry.
Strengths[]
Deals incerdible damage to infantry, almost impervious to archers. When reaching a critical mass can become an unstoppable force obliterating everything in head on combat.
Weaknesses[]
Weak against melee cavalry and has a minimum range, not being able to fire from up close. Highly vulnerable to Tower damage and ships. They rely on destroying the enemy before they getting into melee range, so spreading out the damage by surrounding them and spreading out the army is key. Some fast units like cavalry with proper micro-managment can entirely avoid the ballista's projectiles.
